Matching Eye Color With Eye Shadows

Blue/Grey Eyes Should Wear:
*Earth Tones
*Brown with a hint of purple
*Slate Grey
*Rose
*Pinky Purply Shades

MAKEUP DONT: If you have blue eyes never, ever, ever wear blue shadow. The color of your eyes will get lost in the shadow, completly deffeting the purpose of eyeshadow which is to make your eyes stand out.

Brown Eyes Should Wear:
You lucky ducks! Almost all shades look good with brown eyes, especially:
*Green
*Pink
*Blue
*Shades with a gold shimmer

MAKEUP WARNING: People with brown eyes can pull off brown shadow, but should be extra careful, sometimes the brown can make your eyes look muddy.

Hazel/Green Eyes Should Wear:
*Earth tones with hints of gold
*Taupe shades
*Mocha Brown
*Lavender Purple
All of you green eyed people out there are lucky too, green eyes are like super rare. And SO PRETTY! I wish I had green eyes.

My Fashion Sketches

So if you go to the fashion page, you see fashion sketches done by various designers. I think that they just look really cool so I did some of my own. I check out a book from the library called "Fashion Poses for Fashion Illustrators" By Sha Tahmasebi. The book doesn't really teach you how, but includes templates. I didn't want to always have to rely on templates, so I taught myself how using the images they gave. I found the book extremly helpful. Now all i need to learn how to do is to draw faces, because the faces on all of my sketches are a bit scary. Hope you enjoy!

This is a sketch I did before I used the book and.....

Here are the ones I did after! Tell me what you think! (I apolagize for the awful photography, the scanner on my printer wont work) I like the striped dress with the red shoes, personaly.

Cool "Kaboodle"

I was feeling kind of artsy today so I decided to decorate my "Kaboodle" brand makeup box thingy. I cut out a bunch of random stuff from some old magazines, words, pictures, clothes, cool textures, and I pasted them all onto my "Kaboodle" (I really like that word, its fun to say)

French Tip Tips

The way I do french tips that gives me a really clean line is like so:
1. wipe off all nail polish
2. put scotch tape on each of your nails, leaving room at the tips. Make sure its applied completley, so paint cant get under it
3. paint the tips of your nails with white nail polish or color of your choice, its okay if the paint gets on the tape.
4. let polish dry completely before removing tape.
5. apply a clear coat of polish and let dry.

Fishtail Braids

hair-tips.net
I am loving fishtail braids at the moment. Personally I think that fishtail braids are easier to do than regular braiding. I suggest looking up how to do it on You Tube, because if I tried to describe it to you i think I would just confuze you, and Im too lazy to make a video of my own. The only problem with this braid is that if you have a bunch of layers, sometimes the braid looks frizzy, but that can be fixed with hair cream stuff (I cant remember the name of it right now.)

ADORABLE Sweater!

I am seriously in love with this sweater. It's from Mod Cloth (see previous posts.) Isn't it wonderful? It looks so comfy to just wear with a pair of leggings and boots, and add a bit of color with red lipstick or something. Ug I dont know why I am so obssed with this sweater. Your all probably getting annoyed and wondering why I dont just buy the stupid sweater. Sadly its $80.00 and as of right now I am broke. : ( Anyways I thought I should share it. TTFN!

Great Places to Shop

This awesome bag is only $20.00!
Heartbreaker is a great store. It has more boho style clothes, but also a wide range of other styles. I recommend looking for a store in your area. They do have a website, but it doesn't do the store justice. The selection is very limited.
The prices are super low too. I bought an adorable tank top with ruffles on it for $4.90! I also bought a great pair of shades for only two dollars! The stores generally aren't decorated very much, walls tend to be bare, but the great clothes make up for the lack of decor.

Shirt: $53.00
Shorts: $53.00

Lulu's is a great shopping website, I LOVE it. Prices are amazing, and same with the clothes. They also have a "Look Book" which is sort of like a blog with style ideas. I really like Lulu's accesories, and their appearl is great too. Seventeen Magazine is a strong supporter of Lulu's and those who get the magazine are likely to see their products on several pages. Have fun shopping at Lulu's!

This cute jacket is $59.00!

Mod Cloth is another great online place to shop. They have wonderful Indie style clothing. They have a HUGE selection of tops, shoes, pants, accesories, and more! I love browsing the site and finding great bargins. Price isn't too bad, and my shopping cart always has alteast one item in it. Mod Cloth is a fabulous site and definatly worth checking out. I love it!

Neat Products

I absolutly LOVE these products:

Voluminous Mascara:
I really like this mascara. The brush catches all of your lashes and coats them evenly. It comes in regular black and carbon black, which is good if you already have really dark eyelashes.

MAKEUP TIP: It isn't waterproof but thats one of the things I like about it. I have oily skin and waterproof mascara comes off with grease and oils so waterproof mascara would always sudgeon me. This doesn't happen with regular mascara because it comes off with water, not grease.

Lipsense Gloss:
I really like this brand. I have a neighbor who sells it so I get samples and stuff like that alot. I love their gloss. It doesn't goop up or anything and it last a long time. Lipsense also sells colors and stains but I prefer a clear gloss. The ones in the pictures look colored but they actually go on clear. I highly reccomend this product.

Conair Curling Iron:
A good friend of mine has this curling iron and the results are fantastic! The line things on the rod allow you to get even curls, the rings and the short clamp help you to get perfect ringlets and dont leave any "dents" in your hair.

HAIR TIP: Be sure to make sure the pieces that you curl are all even, that you take the same amount each time for and even look. If you want a messier look then take small sections, and a couple medium ones too.
